SAVA Robotics

We're building an AI-driven superfactory to reshore American sheet metal manufacturing. Our first factory, SAVA 01, produces parts for leading hardware startups in Silicon Valley.

Backed by Y Combinator and others.

"SAVA is making sheet metal manufacturing come alive—one living, breathing neural network."

Team

We're Alessio Toniolo and Vedic Patel, who met in high school robotics. During a summer internship at Georgia Tech's leading AI & Robotics Lab, we met Jakob Knudsen. The team initially set out to build a human-like robot operator for sheet metal, but quickly discovered the long lead times and fragile supply chain for advanced, custom parts.

After visiting manufacturers across the US, we witnessed hundreds of automation cells collecting dust while shop owners scrambled to find skilled labor.

The Problem

Sheet metal is a $30B+ market extremely sensitive to proximity, fueled by small mom-and-pop shops. The industry faces a massive labor crisis: for every 4 workers that retire, only 1 enters.

Solution

SAVA 01 is a living, breathing sheet metal factory. We're building copy-pastable factories with integrated software and hardware working together to create a truly closed-loop system.

Our system solves the scaling problem by standardizing processes that traditionally depend on tribal knowledge. We can rapidly deploy identical factories near demand centers during this period of massive infrastructure growth.

Progress

We've tested our first autonomous systems on hundreds of parts from leading robotics and hard-tech startups, including Zipline and Autopallet. We are making steps every day towards the superfactory that is alive.
